Why You Should Consider Unified Steel: Stone Coated Roofing

What is Stone Coated Roofing?

Stone Coated steel roof was designed to look like asphalt shingles while having the durability of steel. This product can imitate wood shakes or clay/tile products as well. Manufacturers use 26-gauge galvanized steel panels that are primed with an acrylic film or epoxy. They then pour an acrylic basecoat. The panels are then embedded with stone chips. The final acrylic glaze is baked last. This gives you a lightweight durable roofing material that looks amazing!

This blog post will cover the various benefits that come with installing stone-coated roofing.

Unified steel is easy for installation as well as easy to repair. This type of roofing material can be installed directly on sheathing (the wooden boards that make up the foundation of your entire roof system) or on battens (used to provide the fixing point for roofing materials such as shingles or tiles) to improve your roof ventilation. These panels are also easy to clean. Each roof panel is installed separately and covers more surface area than traditional shingles. Panels can also be removed and replaced separately for easy repairs. There is no roof size limitations when it comes to installing Unified Steel Roofing Panels.
